Standard protection (25 years old plus)

If you’re thinking of not taking out our Premium and Ultimate protection options, with your next rental you’ll automatically receive  basic cover.
In the case of an accident, this basic cover however you will be liable for the cost of repair, known as the damage recovery fee and charged at:

• $4,000 for passenger vehicles
• $5,500 for large SUV
• $5,500 for 4WD vehicles, trucks, vans and buses

On the booking process, please compare the cost of protection options, to minimise liability with your rental.

Premium Protection (25 years old plus)

When you chose premium protection as part of your rental with Aucar Rental you have the opportunity to decrease your damage recovery fee in the case of an accident.
If you return a vehicle in a damaged state, you will be liable for the cost of repair, known as the damage recovery fee. This fee varies on different passenger and commercial fleet vehicles.
In the event of an accident:

• If you rent a passenger car, or a trailer the damage recovery fee will reduce from $4,000 to $1,100.
• If you rent large suv & 4WD the damage recovery fee will reduce from $5,500 to $1,500
• If you rent people mover (7-9 Seat),Van, UTE, the damage recovery fee will reduce from $5,500 to $1,500
• If you rent truck or bus (11-29 Seat), the damage recovery fee will reduce from $5,500 to $2,200

Underage Protection (21-24 years old)

If you under 25 yesrs, underage surcharge will be apply，and the damage recovery fee will be $2,500 for all car catergories and $3,900 for all others.
